Professor DW’s Football Challenge!

Professor DW’s Football Challenge is back in 2024! After a fun and successful first year for the Professor, he is taking us back to where it all began on the gridiron. The season begins on Thursday, September 5th when the Baltimore Ravens take on the Kansas City Chiefs. This year will be very similar to last year, but the Professor is looking for some revenge from a very rough 2023 season.

Each week, contestants will pick the winner for every single NFL game, including Thursday Night Football this season. Whichever contestant gets the most games correct will win 25 $1 bills and gain entry into Professor DW’s postseason contest. There will be a tiebreaker and it will be the same one as last season. Contestants must predict the total amount of points scored in all games during that week WITHOUT GOING OVER. That’s right we play The Price is Right rules so you must be very careful to not go even one point over.

***A late Professor DW bonus! If you win by tie-breaker and hit the total points exactly we’ll double your $25 weekly prize to $50.

This year we are adding a consolation prize for the weekly 2nd place finishers in that you will also get an entry into the exclusive Postseason Tournament to compete for the Grand Prize.

Official Rules for Professor DW’s Football Challenge

Eligibility 

1. This contest is 100% free of charge and you must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
2. Employees and active contractors of Eli Sports Network are not eligible to win. They may participate and we will note those ineligible to win.
3. Contestants are allowed 1 entry per person.

Winning the Weekly Challenge

1. To win the contest you must select the most winners from the NFL weekly schedule. If there is a tie we go to the tiebreaker listed in #2.
2. Ties: Whoever is the closest to the total points scored in all NFL games in the designated week without their guess being higher than the point total. This is the grand total of all the teams playing each week. If there are 16 games you need to guess how many total points all 32 teams will score collectively. If there are 14 games then it’s 28 teams and etc.
3. If all tie-breakers are over the final total then the closest over pick will be declared the winner in the same order of tiebreakers. If still tied winners will split the weekly Prize and both will earn an exclusive Post Season Tournament entry.
4. Winnings: 1st Place: $25 plus an Eli Sports T-Shirt if you beat the Professor. Also gain entry into the postseason tournament.
   
5. Winners are responsible for any taxes and fees.
6. Bonus money if you are the weekly winner and correctly predict the total points scored in the tiebreaker we will double the $25 prize to $50.
7. 2nd place finishers in the weekly contests will also get an entry into the Post Season exclusive tournament.

How to Join and Deadlines

1. Complete your registration and make sure to make a selection to each game. More than 1 entry will disqualify you for that week. If you get disqualified more than once, you will be banned from all DW contests.
2. Deadline to enter is 4:00pm Pacific time on Thursday each week and be sure to fully complete your entry to be eligible. Exception is Christmas Day which is on a Wednesday with 3 games on the schedule. The Deadline is 11:59pm on Christmas Eve December 24, 2024.

Post Season Tournament and Grand Prize

1. You MUST win a weekly contest or place 2nd to gain your golden admission ticket to the exclusive Post Season Tournament.
2. Once you win an entry you are still eligible to participate in the weekly contest and can win multiple times, however, you only get 1 entry into the Post Season Tournament. But by winning or placing 2nd in additional weeks you reduce the number of Post Season entries. For example, there are 18 regular season games which means the maximum number of contestants in the Post Season Tournament is 36. So if you win 1 week and place second twice, you get your entry but now you’re eliminted 2 potential entries down to 34 max which makes it easier for you to win the Post Season Tournament.
3. The Post Season Tournament will be to predict the NFL play-off bracket prior to the 1st play-off game being played with additional Super Bowl questions you must predict to earn ther most points possible. There will be additional tie-breaker questions.

Post Season Grand Prize and Consolation Prizes

1. Winners are responsible for claiming all winnings and taxes.

Total Value is more than $1,000 at the beginning of the contest in September of 2024.

Grand Prize Option: The Grand Prize Winner may choose to take a $750 cash prize instead of the prize package. Winner is not guaranteed a minimum or maximum value. Prices on winning prizes may fluctuate at the time of purchase. Prizes will not be purchased until winner notifies ESN of their Grand Prize choice. The $750 option remains regardless of total value of prize package.

3rd place $50
4th place $25

Receiving and Forfeiture of Prizes

Contestants must provide proper address to ESN to receive their prize via certified mail. Or they must make arrangements to pick up their prize in person at the offices of the Eli Sports Network at 219 North Tower, Suite 310, Centralia, WA 98531.

If a contestant has not provided proper mailing or delivery instructions or have arranged to personally pick up their prize(s) by the following deadline then they automatically forfeit all prizes and compensation due them from winning the FREE Professor DW Football Challenge Contest.

Deadline to claim all prizes is February 28, 2025.
