Dylan Samberg scored the overtime winning goal at 1:47 of the extra period to deal the Kraken a 3-2 loss. The Jets sweep the season series for the 2025 season against Seattle.

The Kraken came into the night winners of three of their last four, including a wild 5-4 overtime win over Montreal on Wednesday night. Winnipeg came in tied with the Washington Capitals for the best record in the NHL. Winnipeg started Eric Comrie in net, winner of four of his last five starts. Seattle started Joey Daccord after Philipp Grubauer recorded the win against the Utah Hockey Club on Friday.

Eric Comrie did not last four minutes before leaving after being involved in a collision on a Kraken rush to the net in the opening minute. Seattle, on the power play, Jani Nyman lit the lamp when he scored his second NHL goal on a blast from the right slot past Connor Hellebuyck. The goal coming at 9:58 of the opening frame. Although Nyman was only in his third career NHL game, he has made himself comfortable in the big leagues. Eric Comrie replaced Hellebuyck after 10 minutes of playing time shortly after.

Seattle has seen contributions from unexpected lifelines. Trade acquisition Mikey Eyssimont zinged a blast down the wing on Eric Comrie to put the Kraken up 2-0 with 15:23 played. Eyssimont like Nyman, recorded his second goal with the Kraken.

The Jets would respond however, Cole Perfetti put away a rebound on Joey Daccord with 17 seconds left in the period. Both teams recorded eight shots on goal apiece, with the Kraken leading where it counts 2-1.

Period number two saw plenty of pace to begin. At 11:42, Kyle Connor reeled in a pass from Morgan Barron and one timed a shot by Joey Daccord. The Jets leveled the game at two off Connor’s 36th of the season.

Winnipeg and Seattle went into the intermission even in shots on goal with 15, and goals with two aside.

The third saw the Jets and Kraken trade chance for chance, but no goals through 20 minutes sent the game into overtime.

In the overtime, Dylan Samberg, drove towards Joey Daccord off a feed from Cole Perfetti. Samberg lifted the pass over Joey Daccord for the overtime winner. The goal scored 1:47 into overtime puts Winnipeg in the top spot in the league. The Jets sweep the season series over the Kraken, three games to none.

Joey Daccord was dealt the loss, making 23 saves on 26 Jets shots. Eric Comrie emerged with the win making 16 saves, with Connor Hellebuyck chipping in with five saves in period one. The overtime loss places Seattle 10 points back of Vancouver for the final playoff spot in the west.
