Federal Way is prone to have anyone carry the weight offensively on any given night. It could be guard Brayden McVey, or forward Saxon Niles, or another senior in Jacob Hurskin. But the night began with a sign of things to come, Eric Turner scored the first seven points of the game for the Eagles, to give Federal Way an early lead. Jacob Hurskin completed a pair of and 1s to contribute with 6 points in the first quarter of play. Federal Way led 22-12 at the end of the first quarter.
The 2nd quarter saw the offense pick up for both teams. Jason Feddema and Trey Kuzaro seeing plenty of offensive production for Enumclaw. Kannon Kuzaro also chipped in with his opportunistic rebounding, keeping Enumclaw within striking range. At the half, Federal Way led Enumclaw 35-28.
Federal Way had the lead for the entirety of the game since Eric Turner made his game opening 3. In the second half, the Eagles continued to fly. Eric Turner turned it up a notch, including an emphatic dunk, to extinguish the Hornets rally. Defense leading to offense was pivotal for Federal to slam the door shut.
In the end, Federal Way came out with a 71-56 victory over Enumclaw. The win puts them one game back of league leading Auburn Mountainview.
