(Puyallup, WA) The WIAA State girls 4A and 3 A Final 4’s will be contested at Sparks Stadium begining on Friday. In the 3A bracket, the last two State Champions will face off when 2 seed Bellevue, champions in 2022 take on 3 seed and defending Champs Roosevelt. This half of the bracket was true to form. In the lower half there was a bit of chaos as 1 seed Gig Harbor lost to 17 seed University. 8 seed Mt Spokane then beat University to get to the semifinals.
13 seeded Central Kitsap then defeated 4 seed Oak Harbor but then 5 seed Seattle Prep beat the Cougars and it will be a 5 vs 8 in the other half of the bracket. Seattle Prep has 3 titles in their trophy case, Bellevue owns 2 and Roosevelt got their 1st Championship last year. Mt Spokane is looking for their 1st Title.
There will be a new 4A Champ as 2 time defending Champion and top seed Skyline lost last week 3-2 to #8 Lake Stevens. #13 Issaquah stunned the 5 seed Skyview 3-0 to set up 1 semi-final. 6th seeded Curtis knocked off league rival and 3 seed Sumner and now takes on the highest seed still alive, #2 Woodinville. Issaquah has 5 total State Championships and Woodinville 1. Both Curtis and Lake Stevens are looking for their 1st.
