MONTREAL, QC — Defenseman Brandon Montour delivered a standout performance with a hat trick and an assist, leading the Seattle Kraken to an 8-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

Jaden Schwartz added a goal and two assists, while Chandler Stephenson contributed four assists as Seattle ended a three-game skid. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Jamie Oleksiak each recorded a goal and an assist, with Ryker Evans and Eeli Tolvanen also finding the back of the net. Jared McCann chipped in two assists, and Joey Daccord made 28 saves for Seattle.

The Kraken quickly put pressure on Montreal, chasing starting goalie Sam Montembeault after he allowed five goals on 10 shots. Backup Cayden Primeau stepped in, stopping 10 of the 13 shots he faced. Montreal, who had won two straight games prior, saw goals from Cole Caufield and Josh Anderson.
