SEATTLE — Seth Jarvis notched a goal and an assist, helping the Carolina Hurricanes secure a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night.
Andrei Svechnikov, Dmitry Orlov, and Jack Drury also found the net for Carolina, which has now won five of its last six games. Frederik Andersen contributed with 18 saves in net. Jarvis extended Carolina’s lead to 3-1 with 4:22 remaining in regulation, and Orlov sealed the win with an empty-netter.
For Carolina, it’s their third straight win.
Coach Byslma expressed disappointment of how the Kraken were not able to handle the pressure Carolina brought with an emphasis on Seattle’s execution.
The Kraken, now on a three-game losing streak, got on the scoreboard with a goal from Jared McCann, while Joey Daccord made an impressive 35 saves for Seattle.
After winning their first two games of the home stand, the Kraken finished 2-2-1.
This was the second straight start for Daccord and the first time Seattle has started the same goaltender for back to back games.
With Seattle using a platoon system of both Daccord and Philipp Grubauer, have we seen Daccord earning the 1A goaltender spot on the depth chart? Only time will tell.
