(Seattle, WA) The Roosevelt Rough Riders put on a clinic at Memorial Field on Friday night, jumping out to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter, before cruising to a 42-7 win over Rainier Beach.

The win sets up a major game for Roosevelt next Friday against O’Dea. Rainier Beach will face Eastside Catholic next week. Both games will be broadcast on ESN.

Mar Mar King in the first quarter accounted for three touchdowns in a four-minute span to put Roosevelt in front 20-0 midway through the first quarter.

Kash Lexing near the end of the first intercepted a Micah Ili-Meneese pass for a pick six to put Roosevelt up 28-0 after a conversion run from Mar Mar King.

Micah Ili-Meneese was able to put Rainier Beach on the board with a one-yard touchdown run with 53 seconds in the half.

Kash Lexing responded for Roosevelt with an incredible one-handed grab of 31 yards. Mar Mar King capped off the drive with a touchdown catch from Dalton Anderson of seven yards with 15 seconds left in the half.

Roosevelt led 35-7 at halftime.

Kash Lexing four minutes into the second half recorded his second pick six of the game to put Roosevelt up 42-7.

Our Elisportsnetwork.com MVP of the game, Kash Lexing did not record an offensive touchdown but had 145 yards receiving on six catches on top of his two pick sixes.

Roosevelt tailback Mar Mar King had 99 yards on 13 carries in the first half with two rushing touchdowns and two receiving.

Roosevelt held the Rainier Beach offense to 83 yards of total offense, with quarterback Micah Ili-Meneese accounting for 55 of the 83 yards.
