Lewis & Clark 3, Olympia 2

Lewis & Clark didn’t need much time to warm up in this match with Gretchen Dornay scoring in the second minute. Dornay hit the back of the net again in the 21st while Olympia’s Abby Carter got the Bears on the board in the 25th. The Tigers took 6 first half corners while Olympia had 2.

Gretchen Dornay struck again in the 45th on a beautiful free kick from distance to complete her hat trick and earning the Thorbeckes MVP. Olympia scored their 2nd goal on a set piece in the 77th with junior midfielder Avery Draper getting the finish. The Tigers held on for the 3-2 win and a fun bus ride home after picking up 2 wins on the west side of the mountains.

With the win Lewis and Clark is now 3-1 on the year and host Lake City, ID on 9/18.   Olympia is now 2-1 on the year and travel to Camas on 9/17.
