Lakes 55, Bonney Lake 0
(Lakewood, WA) Before we get to the game let us first apologize for missing the 1st half. We had wifi and internet issues and we scrambled with the assistance of the Lakes I-T staff as fast as we could and finally got the solution and we were on just prior to halftime. We thank Lakes AD Kevin Wright and the I-T staff for their help and we will continue to work on keeping interuptions such as this from happening.
Now onto the game. Lakes made a huge statement 9 seconds into the game when Ean Owens scooped up the ball on the Lakes 19 and went 81 yards for the touchdown. Chris Cosio added the PAT and it was 7-0.
The Lancers would pull away for a 28-0 lead at halftime and extended it to the big 55-0 win to to go to 2-0. The Panthers never could get any offense going putting up just 21 offensive yards. Bonney Lake drops to 0-2.
Our Cole Health MVP of the game went to Lakes’ Sentoa Leapai who ran and caught passes and played defense for his all-around performance was our choice.
