(9/10/2024) Curtis 3, Gig Harbor 0 (University Place, WA)

In a battle between two state playoff teams from last year, it was a freshman keeper that stole the stage. Nora Bell’s second career start led to a second straight shutout win for her and her Curtis Vikings.

The first half saw both Gig Harbor’s Ella Conrad and Curtis’s Nora Bell keep clean sheets through 40 minutes, with Gig Harbor with the best chances, but Curtis with more volume of opportunities.

Curtis broke the ice in the 51st minute on a goal from Shelby Duah. Eight minutes later, Ivy Korbal drove a line drive that found its way to the back of the net, the 59th minute goal gave Curtis a 2-0 lead. Curtis would add a final goal in the 77th minute thanks to Katherine West.

Nora Bell was out Cole Health MVP of the Game recording her 2nd shutout in her second ever start.
