Later this month, the Presidents Cup will take place at The Royal Montreal Golf Club with Team USA taking on the International Team. Team USA won in 2022, 17.5 – 12.5 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event will start on Thursday, September 26th, and conclude on Sunday, September 29th.

Team USA is 12-1-1 all-time and the International Team’s only win came in 1998, where they dominated and won 20.5-11.5. The two sides tied in 2003 at 17, after there was a tiebreaker that lasted three holes, but the captains decided the Cup would be shared by both teams after the tiebreaker had to end due to darkness.

Today, the captains for Team USA and the International Team filled out their 12-man rosters with the six captain’s picks. Canadian, Mike Weir is the captain of the International Team while Jim Furyk is the captain of the Americans.

For Team USA, the six automatic qualifiers were Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, and Sahith Theegala. The six captain’s picks, announced today are Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Russell Henley, Brian Harman, and Max Homa.

For the International Team, their six automatic qualifiers were Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, Jason Day, and Byeong Hun An. The six captain’s picks, announced today are Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, Si Woo Kim, Min Woo Lee, and Taylor Pendrith.

This is the second time The Royal Montreal Golf Club is hosting the Presidents Cup. In 2007, Team USA won 19.5-14.5 for their second straight Presidents Cup victory. The Royal Montreal Golf Club is the oldest golf club in North America.

The four-day tournament will consist of five foursome matches on day one, five fourball matches on day two, four foursome matches in the morning of day three, four fourball matches in the afternoon of day four, and 12 singles matches on day four.
