4A – Wenatchee hadn’t won the State Championship in 40 years, but last fall they got a thrilling win over North Creek in the State Championship, 3-2. The Panthers were the 3-seed and won over 14-seed Glacier Peak 3-0 in the opening round. Then Wenatchee won over Curtis 3-1 in the quarterfinals before taking down 10-seed Lake Stevens 3-1.
North Creek had played 1-seed Olympia in the semifinals in a thrilling five-set match which saw the Jaguars advance to the title match. Olympia would win third place with a 3-1 win over Lake Stevens. 8-seed Puyallup won 3-1 over 2-seed Camas for fifth place and 9-seed Kennedy Catholic won over 11-seed West Valley (Yakima) 3-0 in the seventh-place match.
2023 4A State Volleyball Bracket
3A – For the third straight year, Mead was in the 3A State Championship Match. In 2021, the Panthers took down Peninsula 3-1 but in 2022, they fell to Lakeside 3-0. As a 3-seed, Mead would win their second State Championship in three years, defeating 4-seed Lake Washington 3-0. Mead beat 19-seed Peninsula 3-0, then 11-seed Shorewood in the quarterfinals before knocking off 2-seed Lynnwood 3-1 in the semis.
Lake Washington only dropped one set in their three matches leading up to the championship game, featuring a 3-0 win over 1-seed North Thurston in the semis. Lynnwood would get third place with a 3-0 victory over North Thurston, 8-seed Prairie won 3-0 over 10-seed Mt. Spokane in the fifth-place match, and 7-seed Liberty (Issaquah) claimed seventh place with a 3-1 win over 5-seed Seattle Prep.
2023 3A State Volleyball Bracket
2A – Columbia River and Ridgefield have played each other in the State Championship match three years in a row. Columbia River has won all three of them as they won 3-0 for the second straight year. Ridgefield has been in five straight State Championship matches, winning back-to-back in 2018 and 2019 before Columbia River won in 2021, 2022, and 2023. As the 1-seed, Columbia River didn’t lose a set as the Rapids completed the three-peat.
Ridgefield was the 6-seed, taking down 11-seed Ephrata before edging out 3-seed Ellensburg 3-2 in the quarterfinals, then the Spudders defeated 2-seed Lynden 3-1 in the semis. Lynden took third place with a 3-0 win over 4-seed Burlington-Edison, Ellensburg took fifth with a 3-0 win over 8-seed Pullman and Ephrata took down 12-seed Black Hills in the seventh place match.
2023 2A State Volleyball Bracket

1A – For the fourth straight State Tournament, 1-seed Chelan would win the State Championship with a 3-1 win over 6-seed Freeman. Chelan won all three of their matches leading up to the championship match, 3-0, with wins over 16-seed Montesano in the opening round, 9-seed Lakeside (9 Mile) in the quarterfinals, and 4-seed Meridian in the semis. Chelan won the State Championship in 2022 with a 3-0 win over Annie Wright, in 2021 Chelan took down Lynden Christian, and in 2019 they went five sets against King’s and went on to win 3-2.
7-seed La Center won the third-place match 3-1 over 4-seed Meridian. 3-seed Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) and 5-seed Nooksack Valley went five sets and Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) would win 3-2 in the fifth-place match. 8-seed King’s would get seventh place with a 3-1 win over the 15-seed The Bear Creek School.

2B – Manson had never won a State Championship in any sport until last fall, when as a 2-seed, Manson took down 5-seed Lind-Ritzville-Sprague 3-0 to win the schools first ever State Championship. Manson won over 15-seed Kalama in the opening round 3-0, then took down 7-seed Okanogan 3-1 in the quarterfinals, and defeated 3-seed Colfax 3-1 in the semis.
Colfax took third place with a 3-1 win over 9-seed Rainier, 1-seed Adna won fifth place with a 3-0 victory over Okanogan, and 4-seed Goldendale won 3-1 over 14-seed Walla Walla Valley Academy.

2023 2B State Volleyball Bracket
Here is our coverage of the 2B State Volleyball Tournament.
1B – Oakesdale has been in the last eight State Championships and they’ve won seven of them, including last year when as a 1-seed, they defeated 2-seed Neah Bay 3-0. Oakesdale won 3-0 over DeSales in the opening round then won 3-0 again over 9-seed Odessa in the quarterfinals before going five sets against 4-seed Almira-Coulee-Hartline in the semis and winning 3-2.
3-seed Mossyrock won 3-1 over Almira-Coulee-Hartline 3-1 to win third place, 12-seed Mary Walker won 3-0 over 6-seed Northport to win fifth place, and 5-seed Liberty Christian won seventh place 3-1 over 10-seed St. John Endicott-LaCrosse.
