4A -Last year, it was Issaquah who edged out Kamiakin to win their second straight State Championship in Boys Cross Country. Tahoma took home third place, Redmond finished fourth, and rounding out the top 5 was Kamiak in the team competition.

Kamiakin’s Ezra Teeples took home the individual State Championship. Teeples was the MCC Runner of the Year and also won State in the 1600m in Track & Field last spring, while Zachary Leader from Redmond finished second in both of those competitions. Cooper Boyle from Tahoma finished third, and Kamiak teammates, Will Lesyna and sophomore, Colin Wear finished fourth and fifth.

4A Boys Cross Country Full Results

3A – Seattle Prep would take home their second consecutive Boys Cross Country State Championship with a team score of just 80, the only team in double figures. Mt. Spokane finished second, Central Kitsap took third, Arlington finished fourth and Shorewood came in fifth in the team competition.

Mercer Island’s Owen Powell, who was fourth after one mile, won the individual State Championship by eight seconds. Bishop Blanchet’s Vincent Recupero took second place, Seattle Prep’s Jack Henke finished third, Mt. Spokane’s Kade Borwnell, who was 42nd after the first mile, came back to finish fourth, and Jonathan Miles from Gig Harbor finished fifth.

3A Boys Cross Country Full Results

2A – From 2008 to 2019, Sehome won every State Championship except for two, where they finished second in both of those years. In 2007, the Mariners lost in a tie-breaker to Burlington-Edison to finish second after finishing second in 2006 to Burlington-Edison. Before that, in 2005, Sehome won the 3A State Championship before moving down to 2A. Sehome then won eight straight team State Championships from 2012 to 2019. In 2021 Sehome finished third, in 2022 was the runners-up to Bellingham but the Mariners captured another State Championship last year over Anacortes. Ellensburg claimed third, Columbia River finished fourth, and Kingston rounded out the top 5.

Parker Mong from Anacortes won the individual State Championship, Jacob McManus from Columbia River finished second, Nicolas Spencer from Selah finished third, Dylan Rowell from Anacortes took fourth and McCoy Brooks from Enumclaw finished fifth.

2A Boys Cross Country Full Results

1A – Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) won State last year with a score of 68, which put them as the only school in double figures. Bush was second with 102, Seton Catholic took third, Meridian finished fourth, and South Whidbey grabbed fifth place.

Will Carroll from Annie Wright won the individual State Championship, Desmond Stanfield from Northwest took second, the sophomore from Lynden Christian, Nickolas Luce took third, Braxton Ashmore from Meridian took fourth and Keith Hunter from Overlake finished fifth.

1A Boys Cross Country Full Results

1B/2B – Valley Christian won the team State Championship last year, with Pope John Paul II finishing second, Chewelah finishing third, Liberty Bell taking home fourth, and Garfield-Palouse rounding out the top 5.

Dexter Delaney from Liberty Bell won the individual State Championship by almost a full minute. Benjamin Morales from St. Goerge’s finished second, Tryton Marty from Toledo took third, Jaeger Jacobsen from Davenport claimed fourth place, and Jordan Stout from Adna finished fifth.

1B/2B Boys Cross Country Full Results

Wheelchair – Ephrata’s Benjamin Belino won the Boys Wheelchair State Championship.

Ambulatory – Jacob Hopkins, a sophomore from Cascade (Everett) won the Ambulatory Boys State Championship. Brodie Callanan from Puyallup took second, Ramon Little from Arlington finished third, Jahaziel Brown of Mt. Tahoma took fourth, and Javier Benito from Eisenhower finished fifth.
