Cruz still went 3-2-4-2 from 20 mounts and won at 15% while finishing in the top 4 55% of the time. Cruz remains the one to catch.

#4 Luis Reyes (Last week #4)

Luis Reyes continues to ride better and better each week getting a pair of wins as 1 of only 5 riders with multiple wins. One was an 18-1 bomb in Mr Mafioso on Saturday. Reyes is also hitting the board a lot more whic h we, the bettors like a lot as he finished with 15 rides and a 2-2-3-4 record, 73% in the superfecta.

#5 Javier Matias (Last week unranked)

“The Rooster”, Javier Matias had 7 rides and a pair of wins with the big one on Saturday in the 2nd heat of the Hollywood Harbor Sprint series aboard Mr Fireball. The Rooster would not give in and got Mr Fireball to the winner’s circle.

#6 Isaias Enriquez (Last week #6)

Isaias Enriquez edged out Jose Zunino for 6th with a win and 3 2nd and a 4th. But he also placed 2nd with a nice run on Daffodil Sweet in the Wa Legislature Stakes and then a nice late run on Deshambeau in the Governor’s to get up for 4th. Enriquez was 1-3-0-2 from 7 rides for an 86% top 4 finish.

#7 Jose Zunino (Last week unranked)

Jose “The Carpenter” Zunino only has 5 wins this season and his 5th was a magical rail run with his favorite Slew’s Tiz Whiz to get up and deadheat Arma d’Oro in which many thought Slew got ’em on the wire but settled for th tie. Jose as usual does a lot with his few chances and he may just come away with the biggest prize of all when he and Slew run in the 89th Longacres Mile.

#8 Allyssa Morales (Last week #5)

Allyssa Morales is another one who has been getting better and better each week and picked up another win but just missed with an upset win in the 2nd heat of the Sprint series aboard Uncle Leon. Another solid week from Morales!

#9 Silvio Amador (Last week #3)

Silvio Amador takes a step down but still had a good week with just 7 rides. Amador got a win on Saturday and then a great 2nd in the 1st heat of the Sprint series on outsider Mirror Image. Silvio did what he could with his chances last week.

#10 Kevin Orozco (Last week unranked)

Kevin Orozco only got 4 rides this past weekend and won and placed 3rd. He had a shot at a bigger weekend with a favorite and 2nd favorite lined up to ride on Sunday but both his mounts were scratched so he did all his damage with getting a shot to ride anything on Sunday.

#10 David Martin (Last week unranked)

David Martin is starting to catch the eye of a few trainers and won for the 2nd week in a row. Martin rode in the finale on Sunday and rolled to an easy win. Martin had 6 rides going 1-0-1-0.

#10 Francisco Diaz-Lopez (Last week unranked)

How about a perfect weekend. We just couildn’t leave any the riders with a win out especially one who had 1 ride and won. Francisco Diaz-Lopez picked up a good win in Sunday’s 2nd race and made him 1-1 and 100% win rate. Great win for one of the nice guys at the track.
