Nevin Harrison is a canoeist from Seattle and will be competing in her second Olympic Games. Harrison went to Roosevelt and in her first Olympic Games, won the gold medal in 2021 in the C1 200m, taking down the multiple-time world champion, Laurence Vincent-Lapointe. It was the first time the C1 200m was held at the Olympics in 2021. She’s won gold in the world championships for the C1 200m in 2019 and 2022, being the only American who’s done that. Harrison had been struggling with some injuries last year but has been working through it and the 22-year-old is ready to go for back-to-back gold medals. Harrison got her start at the Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club and now resides in San Diego.
