(Tenino,WA) The Tenino Beavers came into the game with a 5-1 league record and looking to win the EVCO 1A league title. Eatonville came in 0-5 in league play and looking to play the role of spoilers.

The Beavers jumped out early behind their trio of Juniors Austin Gonia, Jack Burkhardt, and Noah Schow. They combined for all 16 1st quarter points and 25 of the Beavers 27 first half points with Preston Snider chipping in the other 2. The Cruisers Griffen Clevenger and Hunter Klumpar did a majority of the scoring in the first half combining for 13 of the 15 points Cyrus Mark Nueva had the other 2 points.

The Beavers turned it up a notch on both offense and defense in the 3rd quarter holding the Cruisers to just 5 while scoring 21. Noah Schow went wild scoring at will and finishing with 12 in the quarter and 23 for the game. Austin Gonia put in 4 points in the 3rd with several rebounds and blocked shots he was named our Thorbeckes MVP. The BHG Takin it to the House Play of the Game went to Noah Schow hitting a 3 to start the 3rd quarter and Jack Burkhardt getting a big block at the other end setting a tone for the rest of the game. Eatonville came to life in the 4th quarter outscoring Tenino in the quarter 18-11 with 5 different players getting their first points of the game in the quarter. Clevenger and Klumpar would finish in double figures for Eatonville.

The Beavers have a big on Wednesday hosting Elma to clinch the EVCO 1A Title and #1 seed., Eatonville finishes hosting Hoqwuiam on Tuesday and then at Elma next Friday.
