(Renton, WA) The brackets were deliberated and decided on Sunday as part 1 of the State Volleyball tournaments will be played this week over a 4-day stretch. The WIAA shifted the scheduling to try and avoid competition late into the early morning hours only to turn around 6 hours later and do it again. So this year instead of 3 tournaments this week and then 3 tournaments next week the WIAA moved the 2A tournament a week and there will be only 2 tournaments over 2 days.
It means instead of having 3 tournaments intersecting on Friday the 1B and 2B tournaments will take place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week and the 1A and 2A tournaments on Friday and Saturday. The 3A and 4A state tournaments will be next week on November 17 and 18.
Below is a short preview of each tournament with a link to the WIAA bracket.
