The Puyallup Vikings volleyball team has had a dominant start to the 2022 season, as Puyallup has an undefeated overall record at 23-0 and 10-0 in the 4A SPSL. The Vikings are the #1 ranked team in 4A, and they face a Curtis team in University Place on Wednesday that was the #1 ranked team in the 4A pre-season poll after a state runner-up finish in 2021 and are currently 15-2 and 8-1 in 4A SPSL.
Curtis looks to avenge a 3-0 defeat to Puyallup on Sept. 20 (25-15, 25-16, 25-19). Curtis has won 7 straight matches since the loss at Puyallup and has not dropped a set since.
Curtis has 3 returning all-state players including reigning 4A SPSL MVP Ella Ensign who averages over 4 kills per set.
Dani Brown is having a huge season for Puyallup, showing why she shared the 4A MVP award with Ensign last season, as she leads the team with blocks and is 2nd in kills.
Pre-game coverage starts at 7:00 with first serve at 7:15 on NFHS and Eli Sports Network.
