The Lions beat Sunnyside 54-20 Friday night to move to 3-0. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies fall to 0-3 in the loss. The Grizzlies put up over 400 yards on offense, but were unable to contain Kennewick’s offense; the Lions with over 500 yards in total yards.

Senior quarterback Andre Breedlove shined. The first-year QB1 completed 9/14 (65%) connections for 2 touchdowns. On the ground, Breedlove came through in pinch moments, including 3 rushing touchdowns.

While Kennewick has a four back rotation, Zaydel Capetillo was the strongest in week 3. He had 12 carries for 85 yards and 1 touchdown.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside is still figuring out how to fill key spots including quarterback. Brent Maldonado won the quarterback competition, but losing his abilities out wide were felt. Ethan Avalos took most of the snaps in the second half. Despite Kennewick pulling their starters late in the game, the Grizzlies put up 20 points which is no small feat.
