Baseball district tournaments are now complete. On Sunday, the seeding committee made the brackets and we now know the 16 teams in each classification (20 in 3A and 12 in 1B) that will be moving onto the regional rounds. We have all the locations, times, and matchups all right here.
Unlike in basketball, no teams get a free pass all the way to state. From here on out it is a single elimination tournament starting with the regional rounds. Regional weekend will be treated as a one day mini tournament with four teams at each location. Three games total will be played at each location and one team will advance to Championship Weekend.
For the 3A classification, there will be games played on May 17th between #13 and #20, #14 and #19, #15 and #18, and #16 and #17. The winners of those games will move on to regionals weekend to play seeds #1-4 in regional games.
For the 1B classification, games will also take place on May 17th between #8 and #9, #7 and #10, #6 and #11, and #5 and #12. The winners of those games advance to Regional weekend to play seeds #1-4.
