Washington Forest 5, Idaho Ruby 1

Forest scored in the 1st when Isabelle Vick walked and then scored on a fielding error. Ruby kept pace tying the game in the 2nd on a solo shot homerun by McKinley Hill. After that the pitching contingent of Gracie Ray, Laila Smith and Kaylei Clark shut down the Ruby bats recording 6 outs.

Forest countered by grinding out a pair of runs in the 4th when Ava Wilson and Ray singled back to back setting up Ashley Griffith with an RBI double and Forest edged ahead 3-1. They would push that lead to 4 in the 6th when Alyssa Hoff walked and and then Ray walked and Katelyn Kriete slapped an RBI single.

Washington Emerald 8, Oregon Pacific 8 (tie)

This one ended in the rare tie but simply ran out of time to get a winner. Pacific rolled out to a 4 run lead in the 1st. Cayleigh Miller, Stella Hurka and Jessica Kelso all singled to load the bases and set the table for Sydney Boren who cleaned them all off with a Grand Slam. Emerald countered with a run in the 1st as Beverley Porter doubled and scored on an error. They added 3 more in the 3rd as Lauren Thomas slapped an RBI single and Brynn Thomas knocked in 2 with a double and it was tied 4-4.

Pacific re-took the lead in the 5th when Jessica Kelso singled and scored then 2 more in the 6th. Stella Hurka singled followed an RBI single from Sydney Boren and then a 2 run double by Mahleah Alexander.

Emerald took the lead in the top of the 7th on a walk, fielder’s choice and an error was followed by a Molly Embrey triple, Mya Michel double and Allison Murae with a double giving Emerald an 8-7 lead.

Pacific would lead off the bottom of 7 with a Tayha DeGrande walk and then scored when Maddalyn Fullenwider doubled her in to tie the score. The Emerald pitching and defense then shut it down there and the game ended in a tie.

Oregon Royal 7, Idaho Crimson 2

Royal scored consistently throughout the game with 1 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, 2 in the 5th and 1 in the 6th. Makaila Kameyama got on by error and then scored for the 1-0 lead. In the 2nd inning Heather Ebner belted a lead off homer and then Amanda Peterson scored after getting hit and working her way around to home. Emma Sullivan drove in a run in the 5th with a single and then came around to score on a Hannah Ebner single.

Crimson was limited to just 2 runs in the 4th as Aubrey Gibbons led off with a single and Colby Keckler followed with a base hit. With 2 out Analisa Zamora hammered a 2 run double for all the offense Crimson could put together.

Royal’s Sara Martin pitched 5 outstanding innings striking out 6 and giving up the 2 runs. Amanda Peterson finished the job by striking out the side in both the 6th and 7th innings, the 7th in order.
