Washington Emerald 12, At-Large Granite 0

This was Emerald’s game from the start scoring 4 in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd and 3 more in the 3rd for san 8-0 lead. They would add 4 more in the 5th for their final 12 run total. Offensive highlights we have to start with Mya Michel’s inside the park  homerun showcasing her speed while racking up 3 RBI. Michel went 3 for 3 just missing the cycle by a double with the homerun, a single and a triple. Dakota Smith was 2 for 3 with a pair of singles and 2 runs scored, Molly Embrey also 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 runs scored. Allison Heater, Berkeley Porter and Lauren James combined for a 1 hitter facing just one above the minimum while striking out 5.

Team Granite struggled at the plate with just Jaylen Latchaw getting a hit a solid double as she went 1 for 2.

Oregon Sky 7, Idaho Crimson 3

Crimson actually had the lead scoring all 3 of their runs in the 3rd. Clarissa Howard led off with a single and scored on Analisa Zamora’s RBI double. Nikaela Higley then singled and scored when Emily Kendall grounded one on a fielder’s choice. This gave Crimson a early 3-0 lead.

Sky took their time to get in the groove but when they did they zoomed right past Crimson with 2 in the 4th, 5th and 3 in the 6th to complete the come from behind win. Kinzy Bowen kick started the scoring barrage with a solo shot deep over the outfield fence in the 4th inning. Grace Neer then singled followed by singles from Jasmine Barerla and Ellie Martin to load the bases. Shyanne Fenley then grounded a 2 out ball but a run scored on a fielder’s choice.

In the 5th a lead-off walk turned into a run when Olivia Dedmon smacked an RBI double followed by another RBI single from Bowen. The Sky finished their scoring run with a double in the 6th from Martin, followed by another double by Maddie Sheadel and a single from Fenley. Alyssa Kilbane then knocked in a run and Oregon Sky clinched the 4 run victory.

Oregon Pacific 6, Idaho Ruby 5

Ruby let this one get-away as they took a 4-0 lead with 2 in the 2nd and 1 run in the 4th and 5th innings. Jenna Kearns led off with single and would come around to score on 3 straight passed balls. After a strike-out the same thing happened when Harley See singled and then came around on 3 straight passed balls or wild pitches. In the 4th, Kearns scored after walking and scored on an error and in the 5th See walked and scored stealing home.

Pacific had scored 1 in the 5th when Lola Jarrette singled and scored on an error. Pacific then exploded in the 6th with 5 runs as Sydney Boren led off with a single, followed by a pair of walks. Tayha DeGrande singled and Pacific took a 6-4 lead.

Ruby rallied scoring 1 in the top of the 7th when Marissa Mauger hit a 2-out double and then scored on a double from Kearns. Allyson Nording who went the distance in the circle for Pacific then struck out the final out to end the game with a 1 run win.
