Pasco Athlete faced Death now Battles back



The Tri-Cities Herald published this story yesterday and it is an amazing story that will grip you and is certainly inspirational. Roman Ruiz a graduate of Chiawana High School was working out preparing for his college track season when he suffered a medical emergency. As luck would have it there was one other person at the track that day, a doctor.  Read this great piece done by Jeff Morrow in a special to the Herald. 

Jeff is the former Sports Editor for the Herald and retired in 2015. Jeff now offers contributions as he enjoys his retirement. A big congrats on this story though well done Jeff. This is the reason we like to share and celebrate other journalists doing great work all around our state.
