Centralia CC Soccer: Quick start for Red Devils dooms Blazers

Lower Columbia 5, Centralia CC 1

(Centralia, WA) The Red Devils jumped on the Blazers in a hurry tallying 2 of their 3 1st half goals in less than 5 minutes. The Blazers did bounce back and played solid defense and getting a few offensive runs with Gabbi Nowodworski leading the charge. Hallie Stubb led the resistance from mid-field keeping the Devils in check until they broke away in the 31st for their 3rd goal and would take that 3-0 lead into halftime.

The Devils added to their lead in the 63rd to go up 4-0 but the Blazers kept attacking back and finally in the 65th the Blazers were awarded a penalty kick for a hand ball in the box and Nowodworski planted it in the upper 90 for the score. LCC added one more for the final score 5-1. Centralia drops to 1-8-1 and will try to snap their 6 game losing streak on Saturday at Grays Harbor. Our Awards West Blazer of the Game went to Hallie Stubb.
