Stadium 0, Olympia 0

(Olympia, WA) The Stadium Tigers came into the match with a 4-3-2 record while the Bears were a half game behind 3-3-2. With only a few games left to play Stadium was looking to hold on to at least 3rd place with an outside chance of moving up.

while both back lines and keepers held their ground and we went to the break in a 0-0 tie. The best chance for a goal in the 1st half came from Olympia’s Mitchell Nee but the shot sailed high and over the top of the crossbar.

As the 2nd half began you could feel Stadium start to pick up the pace as time ticked away. The 2 were still scoreless at the 20-minute mark and the Tigers would get a few opportunities after pressing the pace but could not find the back of the net.

In the final 20-minutes both teams scrambled and created several opportunities to score but both keepers Ryan Naylor for Stadium and Matteo Delgiudice made terrific stops in fact Delgiudice’s save off a high corner kick where he snatched the ball from a Stadium striker was named our ProActive Physical Therapy Play of the Game.

In the end neither team could find a winning combination and settled for the 0-0 tie. The Tigers are now 4-3-3 with 2 games to play while Olympia is now 3-3-3 with 3 games left. Our Tommy Lowe of Greene Realty Players of the Game were Ryan Naylor for Stadium and for the Bears Mitchell Nee.
